David Beckham
In the week when Beckham broke the outfield record for appearances of any England player we salute him and make him our very first British Hero of the Week. Whatever you may think of the man - and lets face it most seem to hold a view of some sort - you cannot help but admire the way he charges around the pitch, doubtless displaying the same verve and enthusiasm he did as a 7 year old footballer. In this desire there is a little bit of all of us who once dreamed of donning the England Shirt. Your footballing achievments are matchless in the modern game - Well done David Beckham
