Pen Y Fan massif, South Wales | Mid Wales

The Pen Y Fan massif is part of the Central Beacons that give the Brecon Beacons region its name. Pen Y Fan is the highest point in southern Britain, rising to 886m or 2,907ft above sea level. On a clear day a hike to the summit could be rewarded with views that reach as far as North Devon . The surrounding landscape is dramatic and beautiful. Tumbling falls and a dramatic gorge feature at Henrhyd Falls while woodlands rich in wildlife can be found at Graigllech Woods. Pen Y Fan is within the Brecon Beacons National Park .
