Instead of travelling around Manchester on the M60, try this route:
From the M60 or M61 or wherever you arrive into the Manchester conurbation area, take the A6 across Manchester, towards Buxton travelling through Stockport, Hazel grove and Disley. Suburban Manchester is so much nicer than the urban side - Denise
The best advice for parking in Manchester is don’t – if you are travelling in from a surrounding area, park at your local railway station and buy an inexpensive day return rail ticket for around £6. Cheaper and less stressful than paying all-day parking. If you only plan to stay a couple of hours or so, head for the Great Northern car park – it is huge and usually has spaces somewhere. - Denise
