St David’s Peninsula is part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park in Britain, located in Wales. The Park is home to a huge variety of birdlife, including puffins, razor bills, and guillemots. The Peninsula includes the city of St Davids , the smallest city the United Kingdom. The City is the ecclesiastical capital of Wales and features a 12th century cathedral . The coast along the Peninsula is dominated by large rocky headlands and volcanic outcrops, and is home to the oldest rock formations in Pembrokeshire. The largest beach along the coast of the Peninsula, Whitesands, is a popular location with surfers.
