BOOK CUMBRIA HOTELS

Aira Force, Cumbria

Aira Force
Aira Force is a waterfall situated in Lake District, in the county of
Cumbria. The fall is fed by Aira Beck, which rises on the upper slopes
of Stybarrow Dodd. Before entering Ullswater lake, the beck leaps 66
foot down a rocky ravine at Aira Force. The waterfall is located on
land now owned by the national Trust. Facilities, such as car parking,
disabled access, graded paths, and viewing platforms, have been
provided by the National Trust. An arched bridge spans the stream at
the point where the beck goes over the falls giving the many visitors
to the falls a wonderful view of the tumbling beck.
