B and Bs in Torquay
Howden’s Court is a family run grade 2 listed Victorian building built in the 1850s and initially owned by an admiral. A hotel since the beginning of the 20th Century it is set on ¾ acre of land with south-facing gardens, a climbing frame and play area for children. There is also a private tennis club next door, with courts that can be used by our guests for a small fee when available. All in all, the perfect location for a relaxing break in the heart of the English Riviera. Centrally located, the beach is 300 yards walk away via ‘Croft Meadow Walk’, a private pathway that leads from the bottom of the garden. We are within walking distance of the town centre, Living Coast, The Riviera Centre, and a short bus ride from Paignton Zoo and Babbacombe model village. We can also arrange for a local bus to take guests from the hotel to the nearby Cockington village
