A French bistro set right on zooming Queensferry Street, Petit Paris brings the authentic flavours and smells of Paris to Auld Reekie. The entrance is teensy. Make your way upstairs to the whitewashed dining room at speed. The chummy tables have checkerboard table clothes, charming vases of blossom, traditional wooden chairs, and French advertisements and prints framed on the walls. Light streams in. The hubbub of people dining well is a pleasant accompaniment to the trad French cuisine. Menus include dishes like starter of warm small goat's cheese with olive tapenade and fresh basil on croute, main course of slowly baked saddle of rabbit in Dijon mustard sauce, and dessert of very popular chocolate tarte with creme anglaise.
