Holdsworth House is a retreat of quality and charm standing three miles north of Halifax in the heart of Yorkshire's West Riding. Built in 1633, it was acquired by the Pearson family over 40 years ago. With care, skill and professionalism they have created a hotel and restaurant with considerable repute. The interior of the house, with its polished panelling and open fireplaces, has been carefully preserved and embellished with fine antique furniture and ornaments. The comfortable lounge opens onto a pretty courtyard and overlooks the herb garden and gazebo. The restaurant comprises three beautifully furnished rooms; private dining also available. Exciting modern English and continental cuisine is meticulously prepared and presented, complemented by a thoughtfully compiled wine list. The Restaurant has two AA Rosettes.

Each cosy bedroom has its own style - from the four split-level suites to the executive doubles. This is the perfect base from which to explore the Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales and Haworth - the home of the Bronte family.
