The River Yare is around 30 miles long and is located in the county of Norfolk, England. Starting from its source near the village of Shipdham, the river heads towards
Norwich , and eventually joins the sea near
Great Yarmouth . Between Norwich and the sea, the river is navigable to commercial vessels and was once one the most important routes for trade in the
Norfolk Broads . There are several nature reserves along the River Yare. A variety of wildlife can be found in the area including the Swallowtail Butterfly and the Norfolk Hawker Dragonfly.
