Enjoying a panoramic vista of breathtaking scenery (pictured) in the heart of Swaledale, this spacious detached cottage certainly lives up to its name! Resulting from the joining of three traditional buildings, and recently renovated to provide a truly comfortable holiday home for families or groups, it boasts both a safely enclosed rooftop terrace – making the most of those splendid views – and a lovely private garden.

This is wonderful walking and cycling country, fly fishing is available locally and pony trekking can be enjoyed in Arkengarthdale, 4 miles. There are castles in Richmond and Middleham, and Wensleydale is home to the Dales Museum, the ropemakers' gallery and Wensleydale creamery in Hawes, the Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton. Barnard Castle and the Bowes Museum are 15 miles, Fountains Abbey, Newby Hall and the Lightwater Valley are 25 miles and the Lake District is about 35 miles. Reeth (3½ miles) has a small weekly market, shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Pub 500 yards.
