First impressions of this popular Spanish restaurant on the edge of Liverpool's city centre business district are ones of warmth and friendliness. Waiting staff seem to genuinely care about you having an enjoyable time. A wealth of exterior wood extends inside where a mixture of tables, chairs and church pews liberally decorated with pot plants and candles create an inviting, down to earth setting. Traditional tapas are served alongside a bestselling variety of home-cooked-style paellas. A wonderful selection of Spanish wines comes listed by region. Crowded with local business people on weekday afternoons, La Vina attracts professional footballers whose photos and autographs and fill a focal wall. Live music and a flamenco show are put on every few weeks.
