The Gun is a beautiful 15th Century Pub, tucked away in the heart of the East Sussex countryside and provides a perfect opportunity to enjoy first class food in traditional English surroundings. Once the main courthouse serving the people from the neighbouring towns and village, The Gun is now a charming historical Inn perfect for relaxing, eating and drinking. Its stunning interior with its multiple hideaway eating areas is extensively beamed, with beautiful wooden and stone floors and numerous open fireplaces that create a real feeling of warmth and charm, ideal for any drinking or dining occasion. Famous for its home made traditional pies, seasonal game, and continental specialties. Ingredients are fresh, locally sourced where possible and everything is prepared and cooked in house and to order. The Gun has an extensive landscaped garden with an inviting terrace and wooden climbing frames and swings, ideal for children. This coupled with outstanding views across open countryside, makes it a truly delightful venue for al fresco dining with friends and family. The Old Coach House to the front of the pub has recently been converted into a farm shop/continental deli, and sells local produce including vegetables, meat, cheese and fruit and breads. The shop also has a fine selection of grocery Hampers.
