The Green Man is a 15th century country inn situated in the centre of the peaceful village of Fownhope, dating back from the first year of the reign of Henry VII AD 1485. A black and white building with low oak beams throughout set in an attractive garden close to the meandering River Wye, amongst the rolling woods and meadows of the beautiful Herefordshire countryside. The Inn acts as an excellent rendezvous from which to indulge in leisure pursuits, foremost and closest of which is the fishing over some of England's best Salmon reaches.
