Relaxed, unpretentious, inviting, Anexo is a memorable Mediterranean-style DJ-bar and restaurant round the corner from Farringdon station, and next door to Turnmills nightclub. With its Gaudi-esque décor, Mediterranean-inspired a la carte menu, tasty tapas and impressive lunch specials, no wonder it's popular with the local office workers, couples and party people alike. Yes, the griddled fillet of beef on a corn tortilla with a spicy tomato, white wine and smoked chilli sauce topped with gratinéed Manchego cheese tastes just as good as it sounds. But whatever you choose, leave room for the baked pineapple with ginger and bananas served with coconut ice cream. Anexo is especially worth a visit in the summer when the doors open, spilling the crowd out onto the street for a BBQ and drinks in the sun.
