In the pretty village of Sedlescombe, in lovely walking country 7 miles north of Hastings, this charming cottage enjoys an idyllic woodland setting and its own private garden. Set within 100 yards or so of The Acorn (E4890), Ariel Cottage boasts a pretty white weatherboarded exterior, spacious contemporary living space and a separate shed complete with wet room, hose for washing down boots or bikes, and lots of storage space. A pleasant footpath walk leads to the village pub (½ mile), restaurant, shop and post office and local attractions include vineyards and a smokery. A nearby station offers a good train service to London and day trips to France from the Eurostar terminal at Ashford are easily accessible.
