As a regular I can tell you the review from Anita Bradford Would not happen. But the report posted on pubsulike would and I quote. We arrived with aparty 9 friends into a relatively empty pu, no more than 6 or 7 customers, and ask for a menu. We were told not to even bother sitting down and that"Idont do large parties and quite frankly I dont need the money!!!". What if we'd gone in there in groups of 4 or 5, or even couples, would this have confused him into some sevice????? The following day someone else who arrived to joinus, stopped at the Black Lion with aim to book a tableToo for the evening and to see a menu. "What do you want a menu for?" was his retort. "To see if we want to book a table for this evening", they replied. "Well we don't serve large parties here, some other people came looking the other day and I wasn't doing for them either!". Needless to say, they left.as we did, with a feeling of sheer utter amazement at the rude attitude of a landlord obviously not in the right job!,Lynsted village should be ashamed of him!. No wonder ther are no other reviews, he dosn't have any customers!. Will the real Anita please stand UP!.
The pub is a busy pub, but we kep it a secret, because people turning up mob handed without booking are more suited to a fast food chain not a country pub!.

Wonderful hospitality, large group of us were made to feel really at home. We asked for a copy of the menu and if we could return with the rest of our party of 26 adults later in the week. "No problem" was his cheery reply!
I would recommend The Black Lion to any large parties who are holidaying nearby.
