the peacock inn opened its doors for the second time on 21 12 1956.the building which stands on peacock place in ilkeston is the second inn to have stood there.the original pub was built a couple of hundred years ago but had to be demolished in 1956 due to subsidence. the new peacock was built in front of the old one.this has had many owners the first to run the new peacock was mr and mrs a wood. this is a nice local pub unfortunatly no food menu is available. still a nice drink.
