Britain's Favourite Church
From the earliest like St Peter's Chapel at Bradwell-on-Sea and St Martin's in Canterbury, parts of which date back to Roman times, through to modern masterpieces like Coventry Cathedral, Britain has some of the world's greatest ecclesiastical buildings. Built by architects still famed like Wren, or by long forgotten masons as is the case with the majority of our older places of worship, even for non-believers they can stir the emotions. So many tell the tale of our history: wool churches like Lavenham; symbols of Norman power like Norwich Cathedral; Saxon survivals like Breamore; the famous Rosslyn Chapel... Let us know your favourite church by voting in our poll.
