Worked as assistant stage manager in repertory theatre and television. Launched the Sale and Altrincham Messenger in 1974. Confronted trade unions over working practices. Launched Today in 1986 and Post in 1988 which lasted only a few months. Novels include Ring of Red Roses (1991) and The Lucy Ghosts (1992).
