One of the most successful British TV performers on the first two decades of the 21st century, though some find it hard to understand why, Alan Carr has fronted a variety of comedy and comedy-chat shows. He learned his craft partly during a degree course in Drama and Theatre Studies at Middlesex University, and more practically by doing stand-up in Manchester. Since finding fame he has continued to do stand-up in major tours.
