Role in No Sex, Please – We’re British established him as comedy actor. Starred in musicals including Billy (1974-76), Flowers for Algernon (1979) and Barnum (1981-83). Won awards for role in The Phantom of the Opera. Became well known playing Frank Spencer in television series. Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em.
