Born 1930 - Scottish comedian and actor.

Began acting in amateur dramatics, seaside shows and stand-up comedy. Spotted by David Frost and appeared on his television shows. His own shows have included No – That’s Me Over Here (1967-70) and Sorry! ( 1981-88). Successful partnership with Ronnie Barker led to The Two Ronnies (1971-87).
