The parish of St Brélade is situated at the south western tip of the island of Jersey. It is the second largest parish in Jersey in terms of area covered. The parish has some of the most popular bays in Jersey, including St. Brélade's Bay, Ouaisné and Portelet. Parts of both St. Ouen's Bay and St. Aubin's Bay also lie within the boundaries of the parish. St Brélade is one of the most popular bays in Jersey and attracts large numbers of visitors every year. Its south facing aspect ensures you get the best of the weather and the beaches are sandy and safe, apart from rare occasions when there is a heavy swell in the English Channel, and lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. The bay offers many facilities, including windsurfer hire, restaurants and cafes. At the western end of the bay there is some sightseeing to be had in the form of St Brélade's Church and the Fisherman's Chapel. The bay at Ouaisné does not offer the finest sands in Jersey but parking is good and the bay does offer a decent cafe, bars and safe bathing, making this a popular family beach. Portelet can be enjoyed from the cliff top or by descending long flights of steps to the bay itself.
