Drumnadrochit

The lovely village of Drumnadrochit may be the place to stay if you're hoping to catch a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster, and there are lots of Nessie boat trips on the loch. But families will equally enjoy the tranquillity, and the excitement, of a private fishing trip on Loch Ness - and the boatmen are especially good with beginners and children. - Carol

Urquhart Castle is an essential sight on this part of Loch Ness, and the local riding stables offer a lovely way to experience a little more. Adults and children of all ages and abilities may join blissfully scenic rides along the shores of the loch. Alice

Inverness

Amazing place to visit especially around mid summer time - there’s only about an hour of darkness and that’s at about midnight and really only twilight! Also a great place to use as a base for tours to Loch Ness, and for going on boat trips to see wild dolphins swimming in the sea. Craig, visitor.
