Set in the centre of this market town is the Best Western Lairgate Hotel. We pride ourselves on the considerable character of the Lairgate; as we do on the friendly atmosphere of the hotel. Recently enhanced by major refurbishment and extension work it has one of the grandest Georgian entrance halls in East Yorkshire, and now boasts a fine restaurant - The Bechstein. The ambience of this softly lit air-conditioned setting is super. A secluded patio area at the rear of the hotel provides an ideal suntrap weather permitting! With all this wealth of history, fabulous buildings, shopping and umpteen 'you must visits' it is a great place to spend some time.
