The Hoops Inn has been a landmark on the main route from North Devon via Clovelly to Cornwall for as long as anyone can remember. In fact there has been a hostelry on this spot welcoming travellers to this beautiful and remote part of the English countryside since the 13th Century.

Today, under the stewardship of owners Gerry and Dee Goodwin, The Hoops is still a beacon to both locals and visitors wishing to find great food & drink, a warm welcome and stylish accommodation.

At The Hoops Inn we have 14 individual rooms ranging from our comfortable standard rooms in the Coach House to the suites in the main building. For an unforgettable experience spend the night in one of our suites in a four poster bed under the thatched roof of The Hoops Inn. Perfect for a romantic weekend or just getting away from the hectic pace of everyday life.

The Hoops Inn has a well deserved reputation for fine food and drink and we are constantly working to develop and even improve on the fare we offer to our customers. We endeavour to use high quality local produce, such as locally reared meat, locally caught fish and locally produced cheese and beer (to name but a few examples) wherever possible. We source local suppliers to offer the best that Devon can produce to give our guests a true taste of the Westcountry.

We offer "Probably the Best Wine List in North Devon" with over 200 wines to choose from, plus 20 halves, 10 magnums and 20 wines by the glass.
