Situated in a peaceful location on the banks of the East Lyn river, Meadpool House offers superior bed and breakfast accommodation in the tranquil Brendon Valley in the Exmoor National Park. We are ideally situated for walking, cycling, and horesriding, with a vast network of moorland, coastal and riverside tracks on our doorstep. Anglers are catered for too, we have fishing rights over a long stretch of the East Lyn, famed for its salmon and trout.

Our Edwardian home has three tastefully furnished, well equipped, double bedrooms, all with glorious views. Hosts Ian and Gillian Reynolds assure you of a warm welcome. Relax and unwind in the guests' lounge or riverside garden and enjoy a pot of tea or coffee and homemade cake on your arrival. Breakfast is served in the dining room, a sunny room with garden outlook and moorland views, tastefully decorated and furnished with antiques. You will enjoy a hearty breakfast each morning with fresh eggs from our own hens, homemade preserves and seasonal produce from our kitchen garden.

The pretty towns of Lynton and Lynmouth, connected by an historic cliff railway, and the dramatic North Devon coast, are all close by. Discover, too, the Doone Valley, location of the famous novel, Lorna Doone. From here you can enjoy pony trekking through spectacular river valleys, ancient woodland and sweeping moorland. We are near to the picturesque moorland villages of Malmsmead, Oare, Simonsbath, Exford, Dulverton and Dunster and the coastal towns of Combe Martin, Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Porlock. They offer a wide selection of tearooms, restaurants, shops and museums. The market towns of South Molton and Barnstaple are within easy reach.

Brit Quote:
Rock and roll doesn't necessarily mean a band. It doesn't mean a singer, and it doesn't mean a lyric, really. It's that question of trying to be immortal - Malcolm McLaren
