The George and Dragon in Clifton serves fresh, seasonal produce from the Lowther Estate in Cumbria, right on it's doorstep. There is a monthly
changing menu and a daily specials board.
The 18th century coaching inn has been renovated and lovingly restored into
what is now a beautiful country estate pub and restaurant with a relaxed and
friendly atmosphere. The open log fires, comfy sofas and bare wooden tables
make it a perfect place to relax and unwind. Photographs and archive prints
on the walls tell the story of the Lowther Estate's unique heritage.
Also serving local ales. Children and dogs are welcome
