Callendar is 15 miles north west of Stirling on the edge of the highlands of Scotland at the southern end of the Pass of Leny. Ben Ledi, the most southern of the highland Bens looks down on Callander from a distance of about 2 miles. Annfield is located ten minutes walk from Callanders PGA golf course which is open to none members.
