Sands House offers excellent Guest Accommodation in Brampton, the heart of Hadrians Wall country. A charming historic building Sands House maintains many of its original features.Sands House is situated within half a mile of the centre of the historic and picturesque market town of Brampton. Just North of the English Lake District yet within 10 miles of the Scottish border, so many places are within easy reach. Brampton is at the heart of Hadrian's Wall country. Birdoswald Roman Fort is a few miles away. Hadrian's Cycleway passes our door and we have secure storage for cycles. For walkers we can pick you up and drop you off at various places on Hadrian's Wall.Sands House has an interesting history being at times an inn, a grocers shop, a public house, a hotel and now a guesthouse. The spacious lounge gives panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. Watching cattle, sheep or horses (in due season) grazing a few yards away, while enjoying breakfast in the dining area of the lounge, adds to the country feel.Please Note: Pets are not permitted on the premises.
