The area has a long history as a tourist destination and will be going through a period of new investment and revival.Owned and managed by the group that run the The Place Camber Sands, near Rye in Sussex (featured in the Michelin Guide, The Good Hotel Guide and The Good Food Guide) and The Bell Hotel in Sandwich (featured in the Michelin Guide and The Good Hotel guide) and The Ship Hotel in Chichester, West Sussex. The hotel has recently been purchased and will be subject to a programme of restoration and refurbishment in order to turn it into our 'place' in Devon
