The Chelmsford Miniature Railway in Essex offers rides to the public every Sunday between the end of April and the end of September, including special Open Days. A variety of steam and diesel engines are used throughout the season by the volunteer staff and a small charge is made to cover costs. There is free parking in the adjacent car park and light refreshments are usually available. The popular Santa Special in early December is by ticket only which can be reserved online.
