Arch House, a very distinguished old house at the very entrance to Wells-next-the-sea, built around the turn of the 18th century to offer the Excise man a good vantage point over the town... (boo), but put to much better use these days as a rather pleasant retreat in what is unquestionably one of the finest area's of outstanding natural beauty in England... both in terms of this most magnificent North Norfolk countryside and also this quite often ancient architecture which is almost organic, it could have grown here...

Accommodation is offered in the form of ten double bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. Each room has its own individual character and is equipped with everything to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as we can make it, along with a hearty breakfast that you'll spend the whole day working off! There's a lounge and conservatory for yarning with fellow travellers and a garden to sit out in... in fact a home from home, with us doing the washing up!

We are pleased to be able to offer rooms on the ground floor for those people who would find stairs difficult to contend with, in fact all ground floor areas are easily accessible to everyone wishing to visit Arch House, from wheelchairs to pushchairs. Any excuse should be taken to enable you to escape to this lovely part of Norfolk! Arch House’s friendly, intimate atmosphere makes for an easy, pleasurable stay, and a great base to explore this timeless corner of the country.
