Burcott Mill is an ideal base for your Somerset holiday or short break. We offer something for everyone. Nestling between the Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills, Burcott Mill is only one mile from historic Wells, England's smallest city, and the world famous Wookey Hole Caves. It is within easy reach of Bath (world heritage city), Cheddar (caves & gorge), Glastonbury (Arthurian legends, abbey ruins & tor), Street (Clark's shopping village), Weston-super-Mare (Victorian seaside resort), Taunton (Somerset's county town) and Bristol (historic maritime centre).

Burcott Mill is a working water-powered flour mill, reconstructed by Devon craftsmen in 1864. There has been a mill on this site for over 1,000 years and few such watermills still operate commercially today. We now specialise in the production of 100% wholemeal stoneground organic flour made from organic English wheat grain.

Bed & Breakfast
All our rooms have en-suite or private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, radio, alarm clock, individually controlled heating and hairdryer.

Self Catering
Mill Lodge links two of the mill's working areas - the Stone Floor where our flour is made and, above it, the Granary where our wheat grain is stored. From the privacy of your accommodation, you have exclusive viewing onto the stone floor.
On one level there is an open plan kitchen and dining area, twin bedroom, and bathroom. Upstairs is the living room (double sofa bed) with exposed beams and stone walls, and a galleried play area. Mill Lodge is accessed from a courtyard which houses the waterwheel and other mill workings. Here you will also find our tea room, open from Easter to the end of September, Thursday to Sunday (11am-5pm). Within our grounds are an adventure playground, picnic area, paddock, orchard, and a variety of small animals and wildfowl.
