Situated along the A30 in the pretty village of West Coker, The Royal George is a fifteenth century traditional Somerset Inn and an ideal place to stop off for a drink and a bite to eat. The Royal George is open everyday and you are always assured of a warm and friendly welcome. There is a cosy bar area with real log fire and traditional slate floor. You can dine in either the bar area and relax with friends or have a meal in the restaurant for a more cosy feel. The refurbished Skittle Alley makes an ideal venue for functions and parties as well as a fun evening to play skittles with friends and family. Buffets are available for private functions in the alley. There is a good sized car park and a large, pretty beer garden at the rear of the pub, perfect for those warm sunny days. There is a bar and snacks menu available as well as a full and reasonably priced menu, together with regularly changing specials boards, using freshly prepared and local produce wherever possible. At great value (£6.95) Traditional Home Cooked Sunday Roasts are very popular and booking is recommended.
