The Gibbon Bridge Hotel is located in the heart of a very special part of England. A well kept secret to many, the Forest of Bowland is both a delight and a pleasure with its rolling pastures, working farmland and dense forestry – designated “an area of outstanding natural beauty” it certainly lives up to its classification.

Created in 1982, by resident proprietor Janet Simpson and her late mother Margaret, the hotel buildings combine traditional rural architecture with interesting Gothic masonary rescued from a dismantled local church to create a distinctive and unique atmosphere. The 30 spacious and split-level suites offer superb accommodation; furnished with charm and character with comfort in mind. Many of the suites are complete with whirlpool baths, four-poster, half tester or Gothic beds.

The restaurant has a reputation for complementing the quality and individuality of each dish by utilising local fresh produce, vegetables, fruits and herbs from the extensive kitchen gardens, its own bakery and local producers. There is the opportunity for alfresco dining, as well as private dining inside in one of the elegant rooms.

There are 23 acres of award winning gardens complete with a fairytale Bandstand and the magnificent backdrop of Longridge Fell providing the perfect setting for any wedding celebration.

The Ribble Valley has excellent walking, a wide variety of outdoor pursuits, historical buildings, market towns and charming villages and is certainly well worth a visit.
