Set in a landmark building in the centre of the City's bustle, the LUC building is a soaring monument of granite, marble and glass and also an extremely attractive venue for meetings, dinner dances, business meals, seminars and presentations. The vast Minster Court Place, with its vast glass canopy can accommodate from 250 to 550 for dinner and dancing. The Atrium, a circular glass and marble with great escalators, is another grand space. The seven private dining rooms on upper floors accommodate from 2 - 26 seated, and range from the intimate Tokyo dining room with its screened panelling and artwork, to the Chicago dining room, a cheery sunflower-coloured oval. The able kitchens offer menus that change weekly. Last we looked, dishes included starter of crab and asparagus tart with crispy leaf salad, main course of Moroccan spiced rump of lamb with garlic champ, Mediterranean veg and taziki, and pud of exotic goats cheese cake with caramelised figs. The wines range from the affordable to the spectacular and there are frequent promotions to entice you. The views from the dining and meeting rooms are spectacular.
