This large romantic garden lies 3 miles east of Leyburn on the A684 and 6 miles west of the A1.
Set in beautiful countryside at the entrance to Wensleydale, it has fine trees, woodland walks, extensive shrubs, roses and recently developed water gardens.
In April there is a fine show of daffodils and in May there are over 6000 tulips on display.
The interest continues through the summer and early Autumn. The 2005 Tulip Festival is on the 30th April, 1st, & 2nd May, when there will be a display of cut blooms in the entrance hall of the House.
Refeshments are available on these days.
Group tours of the Gardens and sometimes the House are available by Phil Robinson, the Dales Plantsman, by telephone appointment (01677 460225).
