The most prominent feature in between the villages and heritage sites which dot the landscape is the truly imposing Arundel Castle, the ancestral home of the Dukes of Norfolk. This small town is worth a full day to explore...the castle itself of course, as well as 1,000 acres of lake and parkland, and an enchanting town with specialist shops and picturesque tearooms around the next corner.
