Take a really happy cow freely wandering the Argentinian pampas noshing on green grass and taking great lungfulls of clean air. Then age it properly, bring it to London, grill it over volcanic coals and put it on a plate (well, there is a rather important intermediate step there). What you have is beautiful, tender, perfectly cooked steak. That's the Gaucho Grill experience. Melt-in-the-mouth steaks are cut to order in the kitchen so you can sate your carnivorous appetite with anything from a bijou 225g up to a giant-killer 2.5 kg. Other dishes include oysters, or South American grilled scallop ceviche, or empanadas, main courses of fish and chicken dishes, gorgeous chips on the side, and great puddings like grape and white wine tart. The wine list is hugely full of Argentine labels as well as Gaucho's own range of wines. The dining room is smart-pampas, decked out in marble and stainless steel and cowhide, and full of business folk enjoying the informal atmosphere and buzzy ambience.
