The Mill is a fully restored working water-driven corn mill housed in a building of 1740.All the machinery is driven by a 14ft diam. high breast shot waterwheel. Water is drawn from the River Bela above a natural waterfall. A fish ladder goes through a natural cave beside the falls.
There is a gallery dedicated to "Baking" on the top floor of the mill. A permanent exhibition details the 900 years of milling on the site. Milling Demonstrations, Cereal Products on sale.
The Museum of Papermaking was founded in 1988 to commemorate the 500 years of papermaking in England. It attempts to show the history of papermaking, ancient and modern, by illustrations, photographs artifacts and associated
material. Occasional demonstrations of hand making of paper.
