Lady Anne Cowdray's beautiful valley garden which she bought in 1946 and has been creating and developing ever since the early sixties is an inspiration and a joy. The inspiration comes from the knowledge that much which has survived here might not have been expected to, and the joy is of discovery. For here are secret garden, winter garden, a woodland, a sunken rose garden and a silver border packed with plants which are unusual or rarely seen. Many are normally thought to be too tender for central southern England and more at home in the far west. There is a small nursery and amongst the plants for sale are many from the garden stock.
