Few hotels are so beautifully situated as Armathwaite Hall - one of the original stately homes of England. Magnificently set in the secluded splendor of 400 acres of deer park and woodland, bordered by the beauty of Bassenthwaite Lake and framed by the dramatic Skiddaw mountain and fells, Armathwaite Hall is as romantic as the surrounding countryside.
Fine dining is offered in the Lake View Restaurant and the new Courtyard Bar and Brasserie Restaurant offers a more contemporary menu in modern stylish surroundings.
The Spa at Armathwaite Hall which opened in 2009, offers a state of the art Spa experience including 16 metre indoor infinity edge swimming pool, thermal suite with hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, aroma room and heat experience showers, well equipped gymnasium with fitness instructors on hand and the indulgence of an outdoor hot tub overlooking landscaped gardens and woodland. In addition there are 10 treatment rooms including a couples treatment room and ‘Hush’ tranquillity lounge to relax in following a sublime treatment.
As part of the new Spa development two new function rooms offer seating for up to 150 people for weddings, parties and conferences. On the estate there is Trotters World of Animals Wildlife Park home to hundreds of rare and endangered species of animals, birds and reptiles which is free for residents to visit.
