The Tivoli Theatre, built in 1936, features a beautiful Art Deco interior and was the major entertainment centre for Wimborne and the surrounding area. The theatre was closed in 1979, under threat of demolition to make way for a new road. The road was never built and with the fantastic support of local people and volunteers, the Tivoli re-opened in November 1993, and is now once again a thriving and well known venue.
