I have recently opened my home, Old Wells, to guests. My aim is to provide a relaxing, calm and welcoming oasis in a personal setting. The house is in the middle of a conservation area of a Castle Howard village. It is surrounded by a large private garden. Both house and garden enjoy the atmosphere of comfort and elegance typical of a Victorian English country house.

On winter days guests can relax by an open fire, and in the summer months take their ease in the lovely garden and summer house. I offer two double rooms with private facilities and guests have use of the beautiful dining and drawing rooms. We serve traditional breakfasts. Available by arrangement are home baked teas, picnic lunches and dinner, using local produce and our own kitchen garden.

Terrington is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is within an easy drive of the ancient City of York and close to the North Yorkshire Moors, the famous monastery and school at Ampleforth, 10 minutes from historic Castle Howard and near many lovely National Trust properties.
