This fine late 17th century house, damaged by fire in 1989 and now fully restored, is set high on the South Downs. The elegant mid 18th century interior houses a collection of Grand Tour paintings as well as fine ceramics, textiles, furniture and the famous dolls house, rescued from the fire. Extensive servants' rooms shown as in 1874 when H G Wells' mother was housekeeper. Fine, restored garden in woodland and downland setting with stunning views. The garden is laid out in picturesque style with flowering shrubs and an underplanting of bulbs, perennials and herbaceous plants. .

2007 will be the last year to see the award winning exhibition of the 1989 fire and restoration of Uppark. Family activities include trails, tractor park and soft ballgames.
