Whether you have a young child who would like to play the piano (starting from age 3-4 using exciting method which promotes musicianship as well as ability to read music), and older child, teenager who wants to write songs, or perhaps you learned the piano as a child and would love to play again, or you never had the chance, and would like to learn now, whatever your age, it's always a good time to learn piano!

Students can specialise in playing popular, jazz or classical music, or learn a mixture- including improvisation and composition, if they wish to. We use a variety of assessment methods, including examinations with ABRSM, London College of Music and Trinity Guiildhall, depending on which is most appropriate for your needs. Catherine is a working musician, playing in a piano duo, and has over 20 years experience of teaching and being involved in music, including a degree in music from Cambridge University, where she conducted orchestras and choirs as well as singing in Chapel Choir, accompanying soloists and arranging concerts.

Students are encouraged to participate in the relaxed atmosphere of our students tea party concerts, where friends and family attend to support our love of the piano and music.

Learning the piano should be fun, and with Time to learn Piano, we ensure the most up to date research on learning music is put into effect to ensure you make progress as quickly as you wish, to attain your long term goals.
