South Brent is a picturesque village located in the valley of the River Avon next to the Devon Expressway. South Brent is a delightful village on edge of Dartmoor. You will find gaily painted cottages surrounding Wellington Square where a 3 sided monument commemorates Jubilees of Queen Victoria and Elizabeth II. Bridge House offers 2 ensuite rooms available for double, twin and single occupancy. Pack lunches and evening meals are available by prior arrangement. Ideally situated to enjoy all that beautiful Dartmoor has to offer. Dartmoor National Park covers an area of 368 square miles - the largest and wildest area of open country in southern England. Throughout the year Dartmoor is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit, with deep wooded gorges, beautiful lake-like reservoirs and tumbling rocky rivers. You'll love the farmers markets full of quality local produce and be inspired by the richness of Dartmoor's heritage, wildlife and legends. With many activities on offer including walking, fishing and horse riding, you can effortlessly ease into Dartmoor's delights and create pleasant memories of your stay. Explore further afield during your stay with us and you will find Tavistock’s historic high streets, or Chagford’s village square, nooks and crannies of Widecombe, close on our door step is Totnes, Dartmouth Coastal walks. We are situated in a valley where more often than not we enjoy views of foxes,deer and a whole host of wild birds and of course our farm animals from the farmhouse and outside sitting area.
