Originally a 16th century coaching inn, The Bent Arms is a grade II listed building situated in the picturesque village of Lindfield (5 times winner of Best Kept Village Award). The village is on the outskirts of Haywards Heath and is 1.5 miles from Haywards Heath station, and 14 miles from both Gatwick Airport and Brighton. The Bent Arms is a traditional country pub with old fashioned décor and furnishings, low ceilings and wooden beams; providing character and a relaxing and informal atmosphere. There is a large floral garden and a large car park at the rear and a function room is available to hire for all occasions, which holds 60 sitting and 80 standing, buffet recommended. The Bent Arms is a tenanted Hall & Woodhouse pub serving quality Badger and K&B ales amongst other products. Landlord Howard Collins and Head Chef Mark Tunmore produce quality, home cooked food from locally sourced produce, whenever possible, at an affordable price. Food is served 12pm - 2:30pm and 6pm - 9pm and there are two menus, the "bar menu" which is filled with pub classics, steaks from extra aged Aberdeen Angus beef, salads and sandwiches with Howard’s locally famous home-made bread which is made and baked fresh daily. "The Evening Menu" is available as a set menu between 6pm - 7:30pm with 2 courses for £8.95 and three courses £10.95. There are 9 Bed & Breakfast rooms and a private cottage (2 doubles & 1 single) available to let. The prices are based on occupancy and include cooked and continental breakfast. The rooms are all en-suite and have televisions and tea/coffee making facilities, they are clean and decorated in a traditional style, some with 4 poster beds. There is also 1 double room available on the ground floor with disabled access. Howard and his team create a friendly, informal, inviting atmosphere and will do their best to cater for your needs. Local attractions include Wakehurst Place, Leeds Castle, Nymans Gardens and The Bluebell Railway.
