this was our first visit to the old vic and it wont be our last, set right in the heart of ambleside an ideal base for touring the lakes. we received a fantastic welcome from really nice people, the room was first class as was the breakfast and the service we received. Great eating places nearby for evening meals, when i say nearby i mean no more than four mins walk. everything about our stay was first class, cant wait to go back. Thanks old vic and ambleside for a great weekend, as the saying goes. i will be back. 5 star.
